The N2CR Spotlight Star Award 2026 is awarded to researchers who have demonstrated exceptional scientific excellence through their research presentations at the NUS Centre for Cancer Research (N2CR). The award recognises innovative and impactful cancer research with strong potential to advance scientific understanding and improve patient outcomes.

We are proud to share that Jordan Tan, a PhD student under Asst Prof Gloryn Chia, has been awarded 1st Place in the N2CR Spotlight Star Award 2026.

The award was presented in recognition of Jordan’s outstanding poster titled: “Inducing Immunogenic Necroptosis to Overcome Immune Evasion in TP53-Mutated Acute Myeloid Leukaemia”. In addition to this prestigious award, Jordan was also awarded a SGD 2,000 travel grant in support of presenting his research. This work highlights a promising therapeutic approach to address immune evasion in TP53-mutated Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) through the induction of immunogenic necroptosis, with potential implications for improving treatment outcomes in this high-risk disease subtype.

Congratulations to Jordan Tan and Asst Prof Gloryn Chia on this remarkable achievement and well-deserved recognition. We look forward to the continued impact of this research in advancing our understanding of leukaemia biology and developing innovative therapeutic strategies for patients.
