We are delighted to share the outstanding multiple achievements of our students and researchers at the Human Proteome Organisation (HUPO) World Congress 2026, held in Singapore from 27 September to 1 October 2026. The congress attracted 1,466 participants and received more than 1,000 abstract submissions, making it the largest HUPO meeting ever held in Asia.

Ms Elisavet Kalaitsidou (Year 4 PhD Student under Prof Wu Wei) was selected for an oral presentation in the “Innovations in Proteomics Methodology” session. Her presentation was titled “Revealing the Dynamic Landscape of Tyrosine Phosphatase Signaling and Regulation Using Scheduled PRM Assay.”

Mr Daryl Chin Jun Kai (Year 4 PhD Student under Prof Wu Wei) was selected for an oral presentation in the “Proteomics in Human Disease – Cancer” session. His presentation was titled “Discovery, Mechanism Mapping and Validation of a Clinically Relevant Therapeutic Target for MSS-CRC.”

Ms Lu Ruojing (Year 4 PhD Student under Prof Wu Wei) was selected for an oral presentation in the “Non-canonical Translation and Microproteins” session. Her presentation was titled “High-confidence Ribo-seq with Proteomics and Immunopeptidomics for Discovery of Clinically Actionable Non-canonical Neoantigens.

Ms Ilisia Ow (Year 4 PhD Student under Prof Wu Wei) was selected for an oral presentation in the “Proteomics for Advanced Therapeutics” session. Her presentation was titled “Targeted Protein Degradation Enhances Selective Antigen Presentation for Cancer Immunotherapy.”

These achievements reflect the high quality, innovation, and international impact of the research conducted by our students and scientists. The recognition received at HUPO 2026 underscores their contributions to advancing proteomics research, cancer therapeutics, immunotherapy, and mass spectrometry technologies.

Congratulations to Wei and her team, Weiting, Elisavet, Daryl, Ruojing, Ilisia, Thamizhanban and all collaborators on these exceptional accomplishments. We look forward to their continued success and contributions to advancing biomedical science and improving human health.
