Research Highlights

The Ministry of Education (MOE) Tier 2 Grant is a highly competitive funding scheme that supports high‑quality, investigator‑led research projects with strong scientific merit and significant potential impact. It aims to advance knowledge through innovative and interdisciplinary research, while strengthening Singapore’s research capabilities within tertiary institutions. Tier 2 grants typically support multi‑year projects and provide funding for manpower, equipment, and research operating costs.

We are pleased to announce that Dr Liu Boxiang has been awarded MOE Tier 2 research funding for his project titled “Geometric Deep Learning Enables Integrative Spatial Multi‑Omics for Deciphering Lymphoid Organ Architecture and Immune Function.” The project will be supported over a three‑year research period, with a total approved budget of approximately S$0.90 million.

This award highlights the robust scientific merit of the proposed research and underscores the department’s continued dedication to research and innovation.
