The Open Fund – Individual Research Grant (OF-IRG) is provided to support the conduct of research proposals in basic, translational and clinical research that are relevant to human health and potential, including research that looks at the causes, consequences, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases.

We are pleased to share that A/Prof Rajamani Lakshminarayanan has been awarded funding under the Open Fund Individual Research Grant (OF‑IRG) for his project titled “Rational Design and Effectiveness of Cell‑selective Antimicrobial Peptides & Polymers (ROADMAP) for Fungal Keratitis.” The grant supports a four‑year research programme with a total approved budget of S$1.53 million.

This award underscores the scientific merit of the proposed research and highlights the strong track record of excellence and innovation within the department. We congratulate A/Prof Lakshminarayanan on this achievement and wish him continued success in advancing impactful research.
