Baxter Internship

My industry rotation at Baxter was fruitful as it allowed me to explore not just one but two different department roles. I was assigned to regulatory affairs and regional communications. Regulatory affairs work allowed me to apply what I had learnt in theory about pharmacy law and gain first-hand experience working with our local regulatory authority, HSA. Working in communications was exciting as I had the privilege to collaborate with colleagues from different countries in the Southeast Asia region. It also allowed me to hone my writing skills as I was responsible for the creation of communication materials for internal and external circulation. Despite being interns, we had the opportunity to learn beyond the scope of our work by attending workshops on medical devices, master classes and more. I am thankful for this internship in the pharmaceutical industry, as it allowed me to explore many new things that I had no prior experience in.
