Graduate Certificate in Community-based Geriatric Pharmaceutical Care

Graduate Certificate in Community-based Geriatric Pharmaceutical Care

Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Community-based Geriatric Pharmaceutical Care [Grad Cert (CGPC)], is a short 8-modular credit (MC) certificate programme that caters to the continuing education needs of pharmacists, who are aspiring to embark on advanced level of work involving direct care of older persons who require long-term management of chronic diseases in community-based care settings. Students are allowed up to 3 years to complete this programme which is available in the part-time mode.

The graduate certificate modules will introduce specialized knowledge and skills in geriatric pharmacotherapy, interdisciplinary management of older patients and communication required of pharmacists at advanced level of pharmacy practice in collaborative direct patient care services alongside other healthcare professionals.

Currently, we do not offer direct admission to the Grad Cert (CGPC). Instead, the relevant graduate certificate modules are made available under the NUS Online Application Portal where the applicant can register as modular courses during the application period. Students are required to make a declaration on completion of Grad Cert (CGPC) upon fulfilment of the stipulated requirements in order to receive the graduate certificate. For more information, click on Declaration on completion of Grad Cert (CGPC) tab in this webpage.
