A total of 156 freshmen kickstarted their freshmen orientation journey on 17 June at Pharm Orientation Camp (POC)’26: ANAMNESIS. This year’s theme centered on four patients who awoke in a mysterious hospital with no recollection of who they were. As the plot unravelled, a darker truth emerged: they had unknowingly become subjects of experimentation. The theme: ANAMNESIS resonated deeply with the freshmen’s upcoming journey as Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science students. By immersing themselves in the theme, they took their first steps into a discipline where curiosity, critical thinking and compassion are essential.

This year’s POC was a remarkable success! A dedicated team of 80 senior organising committee members welcomed the 156 freshmen, who were split into four clans: Phoenix, Pegasus, Hydra, and Faeries. They went head-to-head in exciting mass games and teamed up with their new friends to hunt down the mastermind behind the experiments and break free from the facility.

In addition, this year’s POC included three new games, “Who’s The Culprit”, “RxMayhem”, and “Escape Room”. “Who’s The Culprit” was an exciting mass hide-and-seek game where freshmen explored the Faculty of Science through solving cryptic codes and got to know their seniors better by solving clues. “RxMayhem” was a strategy game inspired by Catan in which freshmen were divided into different roles such as scouts, builders and traders, allowing them to source resources, strategise and work with other clans to gain the most points. Last but not least, the escape room was a novel idea aimed at providing freshmen with a thrilling experience working together as a group to escape the facility.
