Meet A/Prof Laxmi,

A/Prof Rajamani Lakshminarayanan joins us as Associate Professor (Joint Appointment) in the Pharmaceutical Technology & Drug Delivery domain. He is currently the Head of the Anti-infective Research Group and Principal Investigator at the Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI). He received his PhD degree from the Department of Chemistry at NUS in 2003 and has received numerous awards such as the prestigious Singapore Millennium Foundation – Post Doctoral Fellowship, ASEM-DUO Denmark Fellowship, Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellow and Outstanding Scientist Award. His major research interests include antimicrobial peptides and polymers, nature-inspired polyphenol nanocoatings, electrospinning of biopolymers for advanced wound dressings, mechanism of protein aggregation and functional amyloids.
