A warm welcome for all incoming postgraduate students

On 6th January 2025, the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences hosted a Welcome Address and Academic Briefing to warmly receive the incoming cohort of students for the Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Science and Technology (MPST) programme and PhD studies.

The event began with a heartfelt welcome by the Head of Department, Prof Giorgia Pastorin, who encouraged the students to make the most of their learning journey and emphasized the department’s commitment to supporting their academic and professional growth. Prof Pastorin’s inspiring address set a positive tone for the day, reinforcing the department’s dedication to excellence in education and innovation. 

Following the welcome address, the students engaged in lively ice-breaking activities designed to foster camaraderie and build connections among peers. These activities provided a platform for students to begin forming meaningful relationships that would enrich their experience in the programme.

The session continued with an academic briefing where the students were introduced to the programme structure and the diverse courses offered in the programme. Faculty members highlighted the unique opportunities and skills that could be gained from each course, equipping students with a clear understanding of the academic expectations and the exciting journey ahead.

The event concluded on an optimistic note, marking the beginning of a transformative academic experience for the incoming students.
