The MPST team’s recent Shanghai trip: fostering collaborations, engaging alumni and incoming students
From 14th to 17th November 2024, the Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Science and Technology (MPST) team, led by A/Prof Gigi Chiu, embarked on a productive business trip to Shanghai. During the trip, the team visited the esteemed Schools of Pharmacy at Fudan University and Tongji University, where they were warmly welcomed by the leadership teams. The meetings facilitated meaningful discussions on potential collaborations in undergraduate and postgraduate education, strengthening ties with these prestigious institutions.
The MPST team also hosted two significant events in Shanghai. The first was a sharing session where our alumni shared their experiences with incoming MPST students and prospective applicants from universities in the Shanghai region. Participants gained insights into the transformative learning journey at NUS and the career prospects in the pharmaceutical industry post-graduation.
The second event was an alumni networking gathering that brought together graduates from both the Master’s and PhD programmes of our department. This event offered a valuable platform for alumni to reconnect and for the department to reaffirm its strong presence in China.
Both events were highly successful and well-received, further advancing the department’s engagement with its alumni and prospective students.
