Assoc Prof CHAN Sui Yung is awarded the Honorary Fellowship (2023). We extend our deep appreciation to A/Prof Chan for her contributions over the years, which have made lasting impact on the Department and beyond.

A NUS start-up, PharLyfe+, founded by A/Prof Chan Sui Yung and her students, Dr Tan Poh Leng and Ms Chua Qi Shan recently developed easy-to-use oral films that enable painless, efficient, and discreet drug administration, especially for young children or the elderly.

Congratulations to Pharmacy alumna Farhanna Farid on being named to the Gen.T List (2023) of most promising Asian leaders! She was the first Singaporean to clinch gold in an international powerlifting competition in the open category, across all weight classes, and for both male and female categories.

Got pain, got gain, and she did it again! It’s another world record for our alumna Farhanna Farid as she lifted a herculean 203kg at the World Open Classic Powerlifting Championships in St Julian’s, Malta.

Year 1 Pharmacy student Nicolette Koh was diagnosed with profound hearing loss at the age of three. She shares how her childhood experiences with medications sparked her passion in pharmacy and how the right support, resources and perseverance enable her to make the most of her undergraduate journey.

A/Prof Chan Sui Yung together with Ms Tan Poh Leng (PhD student) and Ms Chua Qi Shan (final-year Pharmacy student) have developed medicated films, a painless and effective way to administer medications. This innovative solution is created by their very own start-up company focusing on drug delivery, Phar-Lyfe+.
