Introducing our newest faculty, Dr Alexander Vinogradov

We are pleased to welcome Dr Alexander Vinogradov to our Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the National University of Singapore.

He joins us as an Assistant Professor (Tenure track) under the NUS Presidential Young Professorship (PYP) scheme. Dr Vinogradov brings a wealth of experience in the nascent field of Ribosomally synthesized and Post-translationally modified Peptides (RiPPs) biosynthesis and engineering, and we are confident that his contributions will greatly enhance our department’s capabilities and initiatives.

Meet NUS Presidential Young Professor, Dr Alexander Vinogradov,

“Hi – I am Alex, and I recently joined the Department as an Assistant Professor. I obtained my PhD from MIT working under the supervision of Prof. Pentelute in the areas of peptide chemistry and biochemistry. I then moved to Japan to work with Prof. Suga on developing peptide-centric drug discovery platforms where I spent over 7 years: first as a post-doc, and then as a Project Assistant Professor. In December 2024, I joined NUS as a Presidential Young Professor. My research interests combine the study of enzymes with ultra-high-throughput experimentation and deep learning to construct novel platforms for drug discovery.”
