Recruiting tenured track Professors or Associate Professors in Clinical Pharmacy

The Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (National University of Singapore), the only Pharmacy education provider in Singapore, is proud of its many achievements and innovations since its founding in 1905. Today, it is ranked the top pharmacy school in Asia and 14th in the World (QS Pharmacy and Pharmacology 2024). The Department has achieved this distinction by its unwavering commitment to innovation in practice, research and education. This is exemplified by our recently transformed flagship, entry-to-practice, integrated Bachelor of Pharmacy degree programme since Academic year (2020/2021) and postgraduate programs revitalised to fulfil current market demands.  

The Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences invites applicants for Professor or Associate Professor in the Tenure Track (Clinical Pharmacy). Candidates must possess either a PhD or PharmD degree, demonstrated mastery in clinical pharmacy practice and be eligible for registration to practice as a pharmacist with the Singapore Pharmacy Council. Importantly, candidates should have demonstrated independence and leadership in an area of research that is of strategic interest. Preferred but not exclusive strategic areas of interest are: Care of the Ageing, Mental Health, Pharmacoeconomics and Precision Medicine. We seek through these appointments to build on existing collaborations with established NUS world-leading researchers in these areas.

The Tenure Track Professor/ Associate Professor in Clinical Pharmacy is expected to spend approximately 40-60% of the time on clinical practice, teaching and/or administrative duties, and the rest of the time for research scholarship. He/she will lead in the design and conduct of translational, clinical pharmacy and/or health outcomes research, apply for and hold external research grants as appropriate, lead in clinical practice that will impact the practice of pharmacy and provide thought leadership, and contribute to the training of undergraduate and postgraduate Pharmacy students.

Recruiting tenured track Assistant Professors in any research areas that pertain to Chemical Biology; Drug Delivery & Formulation; Pharmacokinetics; Pharmacogenomics; Pharmaceutical Technology and related areas

The Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the National University of Singapore invites applicants for tenure track faculty positions as Assistant Professors. Candidates need not have degrees in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences but their research areas should be relevant to the study of Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences. Successful applicants will receive a competitive remuneration package as well as a generous start-up grant.

The candidate must hold a PhD degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline which would include chemical biology, cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, drug delivery, pharmacology, and have an outstanding publication record, an exceptional potential for world-class research and a commitment to both undergraduate and graduate education. The candidate is also expected to establish a competitive research program with external funding and/or industry collaborative projects.
