The Singapore Food Story (SFS) R&D Programme was initiated to drive research in sustainable urban food production, future foods, and food safety science and innovation. The second phase, SFS R&D Programme 2.0, places greater emphasis on addressing food security challenges, which include intensifying sustainability and circularity for Singapore’s climate change commitments and enhancing food safety amidst the emergence of novel food.
We’re delighted to announce that Prof Eric Chan, serving as a Co-I, and his team’s proposal titled ‘DiPLOTOX: Developing an integrated human iPSC-derived Liver Organoid and gut-on-a-chip platform for safety assessment of food TOXicants’ has been selected for the SINGAPORE FOOD STORY (SFS) R&D Programme Food Safety award, with a total project value of S$2.95 million. The sub-award to NUS under Prof. Chan is approximately $0.5 million.
Congratulations to Eric and the team on this outstanding achievement. Well done!
