The NUS Artificial Intelligence Institute (NAII) was established on 25 March 2024 to bring together AI researchers across the whole of NUS. It encompasses basic and applied research in AI along with research into societal implications of AI. The foundational AI research combined with deep domain expertise aims to harness AI for public good. The main objective of the grant call is to provide seed funding to NUS researchers towards developing high-quality research proposals in the specified AI research areas for submission to external funding agencies.
We’re thrilled to share that Dr LIU Boxiang proposal, titled “Interpretable Foundation Models from DNA to Cells to Diseases” has been selected for SEED GRANT AWARD UNDER NUS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE INSTITUTE with a total project value of SGD 200,000.
Congratulations to Boxiang and the team on this outstanding achievement. Well done!
