Thriving above and beyond extraordinary times

Heartiest congratulations to the graduates of Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 for accomplishing a major milestone in your education with the Department of Pharmacy! After celebrating virtually at the end of June, everyone had the opportunity to come together and celebrate our students’ graduation in-person during the Commencement ceremony held on 16 October 2021 at the University Cultural Centre. In view of the safe management measures, the ceremony was held over 2 sessions for each graduating class. Although the ceremony was shortened when compared to past years, the commencement traditions and ceremonial heritage of NUS, such as the presence of the academic procession and the playing of the national anthem, were duly observed. What also remains unchanged is the exuberant joy and priceless smiles (from the eyes) of graduates and their family and friends, celebrating this once-in-a-lifetime occasion with lots of photo-taking.
