Research Area: Drug Delivery and Pharmaceutical Technology

The division of Pharmaceutical Technology comprises studies on formulation, manufacturing and delivery of drugs. A special emphasis is placed on formulation and manufacturing, with the GEA-NUS Pharmaceutical Processing Research Laboratory (GEA-NUS PPRL) as one of the most well-equipped academically-based centres on pharmaceutical solid formulation in Asia. Pharmaceutical solids include conventional tablets and capsules especially designed for (but not limited to) pulmonary delivery. Scientists in this domain are also involved in novel dosage forms such as hybrid nanoparticle composites and multi-functional constructs for tissue engineering and repair.
